Foreclosure sites are notoriously inaccurate. They pull information from the required public notices, then do not update them if the property is redeemed or sold through short sale, or sold until months after the transaction has recorded.

The county clerk’s website where I live lists all of the upcoming foreclosures with the name of the lender, name of the borrower, the amount of the default plus costs, and the date of the sale. It is public record and is available for free. Once they revert to the lender they are REO and a realtor will be able to help you at the sellers expense.
