I just called a bank, they said there is a list, but in 4 years they have never seen and and was not even sure if it was public information, but I felt he couldn’t give me a lot of information.

You can go to the bank, pay about $50 and ask for their foreclosure list! That is easier!

You actually don’t buy them from the courthouse, you have to contact the attorney who is handling the foreclosure and the lender who has issued the Notice of Default. Contact both as just speaking to one or the other will not be beneficial to you.

The county may handle homes that have had tax foreclosures, call the tax office for a list. Generally you have to have a cashier’s check or a letter of guarantee from your bank, but check to see what they will accept.

Despite what you hear on late night infomercials, you are not going to get the property for the back taxes. Professional investors watch the auction list and you will be bidding against them.
