Do you know where I can find a list of banks that were not involved in subprime lending fiascos? Thanks
I’m writing an essay, I’m trying to talk about how the value of the U.S. dollar and the foreclosures on properties are causing the economy to decrease.
I just want a basic way of talking about the downfall of the housing industry. I don’t know very much about it.
If you’d like to add more, that’s great.

I can only think of gas and food prices going up which makes it harder to pay rent but that can’t be the only reason. What is the simple answer?

Have most sub-prime mortgages been “adjustable”?
Are foreclosures up so high because people lost their jobs?
Or are foreclosures so high because the loans adjusted to such a high rate of interest that people are unable to make the payments? If so, about how many percentage points did the “reset” go up compared to the initial terms?
Were the size of the “resets” much higher than would have been expected? Or were the resets no surprise?

I am looking for foreclosure rates/statistics, and not the actual home listings.

I want to look for houses in Queens, New York but every website I search asks for a account setup or trial. It would be good if someone knows anything about foreclosure and auctions in Queens, New York. Thank you in advance

Would like to buy a foreclosure in the Carolinas, but am wary of these foreclosure websites. Has anyone used them with good success? Or what’s a better way of finding out about foreclosures across the country?
