I think that the house behind me has gone into foreclosure. I would like to purchase the property, but every site I visit requires some sort of payment. There are no legit free ones. How can I find out if it has been foreclosed on without embarrasing my neighbors by asking?

go to ziprealty.com and put in the address of this place and it should tell you everything you need to know about this place

The courthouse should have that information as it is legally documented & public information.
Also try the HUD office or website or your local legal postings newspaper (most communities have these unpopular periodicals that list legal notices ie divorces, hearings, foreclosures, etc).

Ask your neighbor to give me a call. I can get the lender to modify his loan into an affordable payment.
If not, your county may have a website where you can view a list of current foreclosures. I am in Pennsylvania and most of the counties do around here.
