The AZ redemption period is 3 years. The property owner maintains title during that time so you don’t get to take possession or live in it. At the end of the redemption period you can foreclose on the lien if it has not been redeemed with interest (currently 16% per annum). If the former owner doesn’t vacate the property, you’ll have to file eviction proceedings
