I think that the house behind me has gone into foreclosure. I would like to purchase the property, but every site I visit requires some sort of payment. There are no legit free ones. How can I find out if it has been foreclosed on without embarrasing my neighbors by asking?

My mothers house is about to be taken by the government. She is medicaid/medicare & has been put in a nursing home. If we don’t sell the house the government steps in & takes it over. Assuming they will do the foreclosure on, how long could that take?

I have been researching on-line clubs / companies that supposedly help you to find ligitimate foreclosures but you have to join the club for a monthly fee. These are the ones that popped up: Realtytrac.com , Foreclosure.com and Foreclosures.com
Anyone out there who is actually a member of one of these clubs? Please give me input and tell me how do you like it. Is it legit? Does it work & how does it work? Do you really get a list of available homes that are in the pre-foreclosure phase.

They have to do something about this otherwise more defaults are going to happen. Do you think they are going to create some breaks on mortgage financing, such as lowering rates and offering 50 year fixed loans, so many people are able to afford the payments. Or are they just going to let more borrowers go into foreclosure? If this continues to happen, we may see a depression coming in the near future.
