It is my opinion that because so many people are defaulting on their mortgages, they are probably defaulting on other loans in order to try to keep their homes.

If a high percentage of Americans have bad credit, then will the financial industry have to lower the standards for credit in order to continue making loans/money????
I worked in the mortgage industry until recently and am aware that lending practices are becoming stricted because of the abundance of foreclosures. But eventually these companies are going to feel the effects of these recent changes and will have to offer subprime mortgages or lower the standards if they want to stay in business.

We’re looking for our 1st home and are interested in foreclosure/REO’s. We heard some agents have better access to this infornmation than others. Are there special foreclosure listing agents who can get better deals? Or do all agents have the same information?

i live in a suburb of minneapolis in a town of 7500 there are 190 propertys bank owned or heading into foreclosure. people are not putting lites this holiday season. my neighbor is a sales person for a car dealership and his sales are dismal at best. my question is are we living in hard times?

I don’t understand why people are complaining about this and why our government have to bail these people out. Most of my family are middle class people and they did not experience this because they were responsible. I am thinking it is the these peoples fault who failed to plan properly not the tax payers
The banks are there to make money. Loans are not free, people know but they always seem to have a false sense of security. It is the mostly the burrowers fault not the lender. No one can force you to get something you dont want or cant pay.That is why we have to sign contracts.
